Having issues with Quik.Meme? This guide covers common problems and solutions.

Wallet Connection Issues

Cannot Connect Wallet

Problem: Wallet won't connect to the platform

Solutions:

  1. Make sure MetaMask is installed and unlocked
  2. Check you're on BSC network (Chain ID: 56)
  3. Refresh the page and try again
  4. Clear browser cache and cookies
  5. Try a different browser
  6. Update MetaMask to latest version

Wrong Network

Problem: Connected but transactions fail

Solution: Switch to BSC Mainnet:

  1. Open MetaMask
  2. Click network dropdown
  3. Select "BNB Smart Chain"
  4. If not listed, add manually:

Wallet Disconnects Frequently

Problem: Wallet keeps disconnecting

Solutions:

  1. Disable other wallet extensions temporarily
  2. Check MetaMask settings for auto-lock timer
  3. Keep the tab active (some wallets disconnect on inactive tabs)
  4. Try incognito mode to test for extension conflicts

Transaction Issues

Transaction Fails Immediately

Problem: Transaction fails right after submitting

Common Causes:

Insufficient BNB for Gas

  • Keep at least $5 worth of BNB for fees
  • Check your BNB balance in MetaMask
  • Buy more BNB if needed

Slippage Too Low

  • Increase slippage to 1-2%
  • For volatile tokens, try 3-5%
  • Access settings in swap interface

Amount Exceeds Balance

  • Check your token balance
  • Try clicking MAX button instead
  • Account for gas fees when swapping all BNB

Token Not Approved

  • First transaction approves token
  • Second transaction executes swap
  • Both need to succeed

Transaction Stuck Pending

Problem: Transaction pending for long time

Solutions:

Check BSCScan:

  1. Copy transaction hash from MetaMask
  2. View on bscscan.com
  3. See actual status

If Actually Stuck:

  1. Try MetaMask "Speed Up" feature
  2. Or wait - BSC typically confirms in 10-30 seconds
  3. If pending over 5 minutes, may need to cancel

If Failed:

  • Check error message on BSCScan
  • Retry with higher gas
  • Check if slippage needs adjustment

Transaction Reverted

Problem: Transaction reverted with error

Error Messages:

"Insufficient output amount"

  • Price moved between quote and execution
  • Increase slippage tolerance
  • Try smaller trade amount

"Transfer amount exceeds balance"

  • Not enough tokens to sell
  • Check actual balance
  • Account for fees

"Execution reverted"

  • Generic error, check BSCScan for details
  • Could be contract issue
  • Try again in a few minutes

Token Creation Issues

Token Deployment Fails

Problem: Cannot deploy new token

Checks:

Wallet Balance

  • Need only ~$0.50 for gas fees
  • No liquidity payment required
  • Verify you have some BNB in MetaMask

Token Details

  • Name: 1-32 characters
  • Symbol: 1-11 characters
  • Image: Under 5MB
  • Valid IPFS metadata

Network

  • Must be on BSC Mainnet
  • Check chain ID is 56
  • Verify factory contract address

Token Not Appearing

Problem: Deployed token doesn't show up

Timeline:

  • Platform: 30-60 seconds after deployment
  • DexScreener: 5-10 minutes
  • BSCScan: Almost immediate

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page
  2. Check "My Tokens" section
  3. Search by contract address
  4. Verify transaction on BSCScan
  5. Wait a few more minutes

Image Upload Fails

Problem: Token image won't upload

Requirements:

  • Format: PNG, JPG, or GIF
  • Size: Maximum 5MB
  • Dimensions: Recommended 512x512
  • No corrupted files

Solutions:

  1. Resize image to 512x512
  2. Compress to under 5MB
  3. Convert to PNG or JPG
  4. Try different image

Chrome Extension Issues

Extension Not Working

Problem: Extension doesn't respond

Solutions:

  1. Check extension is enabled:

    • Go to chrome://extensions/
    • Find "Quik.Meme Wallet"
    • Make sure toggle is ON
  2. Reload extension:

    • Click reload icon on extension card
    • Or remove and reinstall
  3. Check permissions:

    • Extension needs access to DexScreener, Twitter
    • Grant all requested permissions

Token Not Detected on DexScreener

Problem: No badge appears when viewing token

Checklist:

  1. Is it a BSC token? (Not Ethereum or other chains)
  2. Is extension enabled?
  3. Did page fully load?
  4. Are you on dexscreener.com?
  5. Check console for errors (F12)

Solutions:

  1. Refresh DexScreener page
  2. Reload extension
  3. Check content script injected:
    • Open DevTools (F12)
    • Go to Console
    • Look for Quik.Meme logs
  4. Reinstall extension if needed

Twitter Deploy Not Working

Problem: Can't deploy from tweets

Requirements:

  • Must be on actual tweet page
  • Tweet must have an image
  • Extension must be enabled
  • Wallet must be connected

Solutions:

  1. Make sure you're on twitter.com
  2. Navigate to specific tweet (not timeline)
  3. Verify tweet has image
  4. Open extension and try "Deploy" button
  5. Check console for errors

QuickSwap Not Opening

Problem: Extension doesn't open QuickSwap automatically

Expected Behavior:

  • Visit BSC token on DexScreener
  • Badge shows "1"
  • Click extension
  • QuickSwap opens with token pre-filled

If Not Working:

  1. Check badge appeared
  2. Wait for token detection
  3. Manually select token from list
  4. Report bug if persists

Trading Problems

High Price Impact

Problem: Trade shows 10%+ price impact

Explanation:

  • Your trade is large relative to pool size
  • Will significantly move the price
  • You'll get worse price than displayed

Solutions:

  1. Split trade into smaller amounts
  2. Wait for more liquidity
  3. Accept the impact if necessary
  4. Try different slippage

Swap Calculates Wrong Amount

Problem: Expected amount different than shown

Reasons:

  • Price updated since you loaded page
  • Someone else traded before you
  • High slippage tolerance
  • Price impact from your trade size

Solutions:

  • Refresh the quote
  • Check current price
  • Adjust slippage
  • Verify both token addresses

Cannot Sell Tokens

Problem: Able to buy but not sell

Checklist:

  1. Do you have tokens to sell?
  2. Did you approve token first?
  3. Is slippage high enough?
  4. Is there liquidity in pool?

Steps:

  1. Check token balance in wallet
  2. Click "Approve" if needed
  3. Increase slippage if volatile
  4. Try smaller amount

Chart Issues

Chart Not Loading

Problem: Price chart shows loading forever

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page
  2. Check internet connection
  3. Try different browser
  4. Clear cache
  5. Verify token has trading data

Chart Shows Dots Instead of Candles

Problem: Candlestick chart appears as dots

Explanation:

  • Happens when trades are infrequent
  • Each candle period has only one price point
  • Open = High = Low = Close

Solutions:

  • This is normal for new/quiet tokens
  • Switch to Line or Area chart
  • Wait for more trading activity
  • Use longer timeframe (15m, 1h, 4h)

Real-time Updates Not Working

Problem: Chart doesn't update with new trades

Checks:

  1. WebSocket connection active?
  2. Browser blocking connections?
  3. Firewall or VPN interfering?

Solutions:

  • Refresh the page
  • Disable VPN temporarily
  • Check browser console for errors
  • Try different network

Fee Collection Issues

Cannot Collect Fees

Problem: Collect Fees button doesn't work

Requirements:

  • Must be token creator
  • Must have fees accumulated
  • Need BNB for gas

Solutions:

  1. Verify you're the creator (check wallet address)
  2. Confirm fees have accumulated
  3. Check BNB balance for gas
  4. Wait if transaction is processing
  5. Try again if failed

Fees Not Appearing

Problem: No fees showing in My Tokens

Timeline:

  • Fees appear after each trade
  • Updated in real-time
  • Check "My Tokens" page

Solutions:

  1. Refresh My Tokens page
  2. Verify token has had trades
  3. Check you're viewing as creator
  4. Wait a few minutes and check again

Performance Issues

Platform Running Slow

Problem: Pages load slowly or lag

Solutions:

  1. Close unused browser tabs
  2. Clear browser cache
  3. Disable unnecessary extensions
  4. Check internet speed
  5. Try different time (might be server load)
  6. Use faster computer/connection

Chart Lagging

Problem: Chart updates slowly

Solutions:

  • Reduce chart timeframe
  • Close other charts/tabs
  • Check CPU usage
  • Try simpler chart type (Line vs Candlestick)
  • Disable real-time updates temporarily

Data Display Issues

Token Balance Wrong

Problem: Balance shows incorrect amount

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page
  2. Check actual balance in MetaMask
  3. Verify you're viewing correct token
  4. Import token to wallet if not visible
  5. Check on BSCScan for truth

Price Doesn't Match DexScreener

Problem: Different price on platform vs DexScreener

Explanation:

  • Small delays normal
  • Different update frequencies
  • Both pull from same source

Note: If difference is large:

  1. Refresh both pages
  2. Check which is more recent
  3. Verify you're viewing same token
  4. Use BSCScan as source of truth
